1. Eligibility for Returns

You may be eligible for a return or exchange under the following conditions:

  • The item is in its original condition, including all packaging, labels, and tags.
  • The return request is made within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • The item is not on the list of non-returnable products (see section 4).

2. Initiating a Return

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

a. Contact Customer Support: Send an email to sales@directautoswitch.co.nz to request a Return Authorization Number (RAN). Please provide the following information:

  • Your order number.
  • Description and quantity of items to be returned.
  • Reason for the return.

b. Return Authorization Number (RAN): Once your request is approved, we will provide you with a unique RAN. This number must be clearly marked on the outside of the return package.

3. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product is faulty. If the product is faulty, we will arrange for a courier to pick up the return from you at a convenient time and location. We will email you a courier label, which you can print or write the tracking number on the parcel.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless they are damaged or defective upon arrival:

  • Customized or personalized items.
  • Items that have been used, installed, or altered in any way.
  • Items without their original packaging, labels, or tags.
  • Clearance or sale items.

5. Refunds and Exchanges

Upon receiving the returned item and inspecting its condition, we will process your request within 7 business days. Here are the possible outcomes:

a. Refund: If your return is approved, we will issue a refund to the original payment method used for the purchase.

b. Exchange: If you request an exchange for the same item, we will ship the replacement product to you. If the item is not available, we will provide a refund.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We will provide instructions on how to return the item or resolve the issue promptly.

6.1 Power Window Switches

If you are returning a power window switch, please email pictures of the switch from all sides and a video detailing the issue, along with the make, year, and model of your vehicle. This will help us to quickly diagnose the problem and process your return.
